Masada Sound and Light Show is a night show that tells the
history of Masada on the ancient walls of Masada, the ancient fortress
built by King Herod.
* the light and sound show in Masada has been updated since this post was written.
We arrived to the show in May and it was quite warm in the
evening. Sitting is on a concrete benches.
The show starts with the story of the archaeological
excavation of Masada. Then, the story of the fall of Masada is told in the form
of a play accompanied with effects of light, sound, fire and smoke. The
lighting on the mountain and the fortress is impressive. I am very fond of
the light effects so it was pure fun for me. The children found it exciting and
educating. An opportunity to learn the story of Masada while enjoying!
After
the show we walked around the area (if you get there early enough you can do it
before the show). There’s an exhibition of ancient war machines that were used
to conquer Masada.
To
summarize – highly recommended, especially with children.
