The new Herods Herzliya hotel was launched recently. The hotel,
located on an island in the Herzliya Marina, combines a stunning location with
overwhelming Marina and sea views, luxury, swimming pool and spa, and excellent
food! This is the place to combine business with pleasure or … only
pleasure!
The
hotel that is especially appropriate for business travelers is also recommended
for families and offers a swimming pool, a pleasant garden for children to roam
around and for everyone to enjoy the wonderful sea breeze, and also a
children’s club that is active on holidays. Within a walking distance from the
hotel one can enjoy the beach and the Arena shopping mall that offers
restaurants, shops, and children attractions (such as the
indoors-air-conditioned Atlantis amusement park). Here are pictures of the
swimming pool and the garden.
The
hotel was designed by the famous architect Ilan Pivko, its design is modern in
black-grey-white with a touch of color, and all this is merged with the pool,
the marina and sea!
The
spacious lobby has two levels and pleasantly enjoys a lot of natural light as
it is facing both the pool/marina and garden.
There is
a secured covered parking area and free Wifi, and even bikes for rent!
The Room
The room
is nicely decorated as well with a grayish parquet floor. The furniture in the
room and the bathroom design is black and white with a touch of color. Near the
entrance there’s a closet and a coffee tray as well as a small minibar. The
room feels quite spacious and the full bed leaves enough space to walk around
and access the couch and the working desk. A flat screen TV with international
channels and a climate control unit complement the comfort.
The
bathroom is also elegantly designed with a modern sink on a wooden chest with
all the amenities for comfortabl stay: toiletries (soap, shampoo, softener,
moisturizer, shoe shine cloth, knitting set, etc.), a good mirror and set of
towels including a wash cloth, and soft Kleenex. The bath has high quality taps
and rain-style upper water flow. There are slippers and robes. Someone here
thought about everything up to the smallest detail!
The room
has a long curtain and when it is open, the external wall, which is all made of
glass, lets the light get in, and gives a good view of the outdoors – the
garden, the marina and also the sea from the higher floors. Some rooms have a
balcony.
At
night, if you open the window, you will hear the whisper of the wind and the
gentle sound of the ship’s mass moving in the wind (the photograph was taken
when we walked to the Marina).
Food
One of
the pleasures of staying at Herods is the excellent food. In the two meals we
had there we enjoyed the large selection of tasty food. The food is served as a
self-service buffet. However, coffee was served to us to the tabl at breakfast.
The
meals are served in the pleasant dining room overlooking the swimming pool.
At
breakfast, a large selection of food was served. This included a salad bar in
which the salad was prepared fresh for us with an assortment of grains and
dressings. A huge selection of breads and rolls, cheese: Camembert, goat
cheese, feta, blue cheese, and many more. A healthy bar with Halva, yogurts,
honey, cereals and jams. Also, juice, espresso and cappuccino and a large
variety of baked pastry – sweet and savory. They will also make an omelet the
way you like it.

Dinner
was also a buffet style with plenty of options: salmon, beef, chicken, sausages
in a number of styles. There were many sides and fresh vegetables, excellent
antipasti vegetables, breads and a fine dessert bar.
