Ritz-Carlton is one of the
most luxurious hotels in
Israel. It is situated on Herzliya’s marina and beyond the modern sumptuous
rooms features a rooftop heated pool, fully equipped spa and an excellent
restaurant. The service here is of the utmost standards.
The
entrance to Ritz-Carlton’s hotel passes through an architecturally impressive
corridor. The architecture is unique and includes a set of plasma screens
showing timely sea sceneries. The design principle of repeating objects such as
lamps, benches and surfaces make it feel like there are mirrors here. A marvelous
interior design!
The lobby
itself is not big but it has a lot of light and grey-blue colors that brings
the outside inside, including the view of the marina and the sea!
In the evening, we watched the marina at sunset!
Rooms
The hotel’s
room are spacious and of especially high standard. We were upgraded to a huge room with a balcony
overlooking the marina. The room was around 50 meters and included a bed, a
desk, a seating area, spacious closets and an oversized bathroom with deep
dipping bath tub, rain shower and double basins. The bathroom has a large
window to the room so that we could see the marina view while in the bathroom.
The room is also equipped with an espresso machine and an extra wide safe. The
room is pampering and we did not even want to go out! Terry bathrobes awaited
us and the tub was great!
Culinary
Breakfast
is served at the Herbert Samuel restaurant. Due to the preparations for
Passover, it was served to us at the nearby event hall. The meal was very rich buffet
style breakfast including varied salads, antipasti, quality cheeses, assorted
pastries and eggs made to order. Warm and cold drinks were served to the table
(we had fresh orange juice and a cappuccino). It was a delicious and relaxed
breakfast!
Herbert
Samuel is a kosher restaurant that serves lunch and dinner. You can read
more about Herbert
Samuel. There is also a rich bar at the lobby and room service.
Recreation
The hotel
spa spans over four floors and consists of a beautiful rooftop heated swimming
pool on the 12th floor, wet and dry saunas, state of the art gym,
and a resting area with tea and coffee. A very professional massagist gave me a
Swedish massage. It was intense but relaxing and very pleasant. After which I
rested in the intimate resting area, had tea and dried fruit in from of the
open view of Herzliya and the area. Calm and tranquil!
The gym is larger than in most hotels and is very well equipped with the 'latest word' equipment as well as free weights.
We loved the rooftop pool. The view is stunning from both sides - one side to the beach and marina and the other to Herzliya open areas. It is heated, rather long and square thus well-suited for a good swim in all the seasons. There is also a kiddie pool.
What’s around?
The
location of the hotel, above the Arena mall and the marina makes it easy to
walk to the beach or stroll around the marina. There are many opportunities for
water sports like windsurfing, sailing, fishing, etc. The hotel is near
Herzliya’s industrial area with the high-tech companies, restaurants and bars,
and has easy access to the main highways to Tel Aviv and Haifa.
During
our stay, the service at the hotel was outstanding! This is way beyond the
Israeli standard!
In
summary, the Ritz-Carlton is an excellent choice for tourists, guests from
abroad, family or romantic vacation, like celebrating an anniversary or a
birthday!
